District Grant - Hygiene Kits and Shoes
Project Date: November 6, 2019
Beneficiaries: Grade 1 & 2 of Caloocan Central High School
Number of Recipients: 650
Provision of health care package for proper hygiene and dental care to 650 pupils (Grade 1 & 2) at Caloocan Central High School. Their parents cannot afford basic necessities for everyday use. Poor oral hygiene causes gum disease and together with dietary sugar, may lead to tooth decay. Either condition may cause pain and suffering as well as impairment of function.
Our Rtn./Dentist Ma. Antonia Khaledi taught the students how to brush their teeth properly and how to maintain proper care to prevent diseases. The kids were also given soap and towels for proper tooth brushing practices. The students were also provided with shoes and socks for going to school. Wearing shoes and socks especially during rainy season will prevent them from acquiring skin diseases.
