December 3, is the start of Disability Awareness month. And we are fortunate to have the VIP League headed by PP George Siy, sponsor these Bags with coloring books and wheelchairs for the PWDs.

 

Zone 2, headed by SAG Tess Fajardo, together with club presidents, TP Jimmy Que and RAC Miguel Angeles of RC Caloocan, TP Elsie Yang- Ang, and Rtn. Caridad Ibit of Rc Sampaguita Grace Park, and TP Eric Enriquez of RC Kalookan North, turned over 390pcs of bags, 3 wheelchairs, 2 strollers to the school Principals of Caloocan Central Elementary School, Bagong Silang Elementary School, and Cecilio Apostol Elementary School at a simple ceremony at SDO- Caloocan located at 10th Ave, Grace Park. Together with us are SDO OIC Superintendent, Dr. Diosdado Medina, and Administrative Officer, Ms. Aline Kayanong, senior Education Program Specialist, Ms. Ruth Salom, and Education Program Specialist, Mr. Paulus Andrew Manalo. A few more items were added into the bags like face shields, face masks, rulers, plastic envelopes.

 

This only proves that being disable does not stop a person become educated. Disability is not a liability, it depends on how a person looks at it and takes it either as a challenge or a defeat
